Aromatic Herbs for Vegetables
Vegetables roasted on the grill or in the oven get a little help from this aromatic blend of thyme, rosemary, basil, oregano, and marjoram. Simply toss veggies with a little extra-virgin olive oil and a sprinkling of the rub for delicious flavor. Make a flavorful compound butter by mixing 8 tbls. of premium unsalted butter with 1 tsp. of the herb mix, 1 small chopped shallot and 2 tsp. of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Form into a log, roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate or freeze until ready to use. A fabulous instant sauce for steamed vegetables or baked potatoes!
