Grove 45 Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a venture that started in 2009 when long time friends Nena Talcott and Bonnie Storm agreed to go into business together. Between them they had 45 years of farming experience, and had both produced gold-medal, award-winning extra virgin olive oils (under different labels). Now, a decade after first founding Grove 45, Storm and Talcott have decided to retire, handing over the reins to local mother-daughter duo, Ana & Marcela Hernandez.
The 2022 vintage is, in a word, WOW. An ideal growing season produced a bright and lively oil with aromas of grassy, green plantian, artichoke and kaffir lime, and an earthy flavor with hints of citrus and mint. Medium-bodied with a white pepper finish, you'll want to drizzle Grove 45 over almost anything—roasted vegetables, soups, salads, grilled fish. We love it over popcorn dusted with a hint of truffle salt. You might even try it over a rich chocolate sorbet with a sprinkling of fleur de sel for a sublime sweet and savory after-dinner treat.
