Ommegang Abbey Ale Beer Jelly
The Ommegang Brewery crafts award-winning Belgian-style ales in Cooperstown, New York, once the epicenter of U.S. hop production. Built in 1997, Ommegang was the first farmstead brewery built in the United States in over 100 years. Enter our friends at Beekman 1802, who have built a brand creating extraordinary specialty foods produced responsibly and with ingredients sourced locally. Wanting to partner with their neighbors in Cooperstown, the Beekman Boys have crafted a star-studded roster of beer jellies produced with Ommegang's most popular brews. You'll love these complex condiments alongside cheese and charcuterie or slathered on your favorite sandwich.
The rich, fruity and aromatic Abbey Ale is brewed with licorice root, star anise, sweet orange peel, coriander and cumin. It makes for one big and rich jelly with a deep burgundy color and fruity aroma, standing up well to big rich cheeses like brie or sharp cheddar.
