I loved this Sauerkraut and plan to buy more soon. I cooked it in my slow cooker with Country Ribs and it was soo good that I had very little leftovers. All liked it.

André Laurent is France's leading manufacturer of sauerkraut.

From the field to your plate, the company has complete control over all stages involved in the growing and processing of cabbage. Paul Laurent, the company's forerunner from the Champagne region of France, started out growing cabbages for sauerkraut on his farm in Blignicourt in 1906. His son André took over from him in 1945, increasing the size of the business by constructing a sauerkraut production plant. It was the grandson, Michel, the current chairman of the board, who in 1960 incorporated a canning plant. He carefully selects the seeds, grows and harvests his own crops, and, in the process, has created this beautiful ready-to-eat sauerkraut. Today, the fourth generation of the Laurent family has taken the reins of the business and is carrying on the family's tradition, remaining faithful to their core principles: to rediscover the flavors of yesterday by giving them a modern twist to suit new ways of life.
