Honey & Lavender Butter Biscuits
- THE STORY
Handmade to exacting standards for Partridge's, one of the few remaining family run food shops in central London, these delicate, fragrant biscuits combine creamy Scottish butter with honey and aromatic lavender for a nibble that is perfect to serve with afternoon tea or with fresh fruit for dessert.
In 1994, Partridges was granted the Royal Warrant as Grocers to Her Majesty the Queen, indicating the royal family endorsement of the business. It should come as no surprise that these biscuits are a favorite in the royal household!
The original Partridges was opened by Sir Richard Shepherd in the fashionable area of Sloane Street near the Kings Road and quickly gained a reputation for selling the best quality foods from British producers and importing food and wines from all over the world. Their slogan was, and still is, 'good things for the larder'.
Today Partridges is still very much a family business with Richard's brother, John Shepherd, now the Managing Director. In fact, it is one of the few remaining family run food shops in central London and still cherishes its original ideal of providing the very finest quality foods.
