Belvís de Las Navas is unlike any olive oil we've tasted. Produced high in the Sierra Blanca mountains of southern Spain, this remarkable Spanish extra virgin olive oil is crafted from a blend of traditional varieties and several rare olive cultivars found nowhere else in the world. Some of these ancient trees are believed to date back to Moorish times, their fruit preserved for generations in this secluded mountain landscape.
The olives are grown without irrigation and produced according to strict organic practices. The fruit is picked early in the season and pressed daily at low temperatures to preserve its naturally occurring polyphenols and vibrant character. The result is an extraordinary artisan olive oil with fresh aromas of cut grass, green tomato, artichoke, and a hint of almond, followed by a balanced peppery finish.
Complex yet harmonious, Belvís de Las Navas offers a beautiful balance of fruitiness, bitterness, and spice. We love it drizzled over grilled vegetables, fresh cheeses, tomatoes, seafood, and simply with crusty bread. Its distinctive blend of rare and indigenous olives creates a truly one-of-a-kind organic extra virgin olive oil that captures the history, biodiversity, and flavor of its mountain home.
